RCJ 30th Anniversary
2008 sees the 30th anniversary of the establishment of an Advice Bureau at the Royal Courts of Justice.
Over the years the Bureau has expanded the range of services available to provide access to justice to unrepresented litigants at the Royal Courts of Justice and the Principal Registry of the Family Division, and now responds to over 10,000 enquiries every year.
To celebrate the anniversary, and to thank those who have contributed to the Bureau’s achievements, a special reception was held on Monday 10th November 2008. Guests came together from the judiciary, legal community, business, public and voluntary sectors, at the start of National Pro Bono Week.
An address was given by Baroness Hale of Richmond DBE, PC, to mark the event.
