Donations

Like all other Citizens Advice Bureaux, the RCJ Advice Bureau is a non-profit making independent charity which touches thousands of people’s lives in numerous ways. We help people resolve their problems through two approaches:

  • by offering free, independent, impartial, quality advice, and
  • by contributing to campaigns for policy change.

We make a positive impact on individuals and the communities in which they live and nearly half the public has used a Citizens Advice Bureau at some stage in their lives.

Every year we help 7,500 people to deal with more than 9,000 problems, but the unmet demand on our services is growing.

Despite this, funding is always an issue. Unlike almost all other Citizens Advice Bureau we are not based in any particular local authority area as the Royal Courts of Justice is the Supreme Court for England and Wales and our clients can come from all over the country. This in turn can create difficulties in accessing funds. Many funding bodies have to direct funding and grants at those who operate in their locality.

Making a donation will help us to continue to provide a vital service to unrepresented litigants in person and to ensure access to justice is available for those who find themselves at the High Court and the Court of Appeal without the means to access legal support.

Please make your cheque payable to:
