Fit Money

(Islington Financial Confidence Project)

FIT MONEY is a financial literacy project for tenants of social housing in Islington. Run by Islington Citizens Advice Bureau on behalf of a partnership of Islington Organisations working together to achieve a real change in how confident tenants of social housing feel about money, budgeting and dealing with debt.

We have designed programmes and training tools to support agencies especially landlords so they can support tenants more effectively with financial issues.

FIT MONEY is for any Islington tenant living in council or housing association property. Fit Money supports tenants by providing free workshops covering such topics as “budgeting and creating a money plan”, or “understanding credit and debt”.

We also offer free One to One Financial Health Checks to help you budget and manage your bills, start to make daily savings, understand credit and how to use it, or set up and manage your bank account.

At FIT MONEY the projects, activities and workshops have been designed to give you the skills and knowledge you need to feel confident when making choices about money. This will make you financially FIT and healthy.
