All matrimonial matters and general advice e.g. Consumer, Debt, Housing, Employment and Welfare Benefits cases are dealt with at this branch, subject to adviser availability.

Lawyers specialising in Family Law will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays to provide advice and assistance in Adoption, Abduction, Care Proceedings, Children, Court Procedure, Divorce, Domestic Violence, Mediation and Property.

Miscarriage of Justice Support Service

We provide advice and assistance to people whose cases have been reviewed by the Criminal Cases Review Commission and referred to the Court of Appeal for a re-hearing, or to people pursuing their own ‘Out of Time’ Appeal.

Bankruptcy Advice & Bankruptcy Court Desk

Mondays and Wednesdays 10.00 am to 1.00 pm.
Royal Courts of Justice, Thomas More Building, 1st Floor, Room TM103 (near court 52)
Pre- and post-bankruptcy advice e.g. implications of bankruptcy, setting aside Statutory Demands or negotiating with creditors to avoid bankruptcy.

Debt Advice

The Bureau’s Debt Adviser provides specialist advice to clients, who are referred from our General Advice Service at First Avenue House, by the Lawyers at our Royal Courts of Justice branch and directly from the High Court. Clients are also referred to us by other advice agencies which do not have access to specialist debt adviser.
