Volunteering

We are a unique Citizens Advice service covering legal services in the Royal Courts of Justice and Central London Family Court and deliver Citizens Advice Islington. We are able to provide a wide range of volunteer experience.

We have volunteer opportunities that cover:

Legal advice – we provide practical work experience for people who have completed their law training (LPC or equivalent) in both our civil and family teams

We also welcome applications from qualified family solicitors as our family legal service facing high levels of demand for free legal advice.

Non-legal roles where you do not need a legal qualification include:

Customer Care –assisting in the receptions at each of our sites.

Data entry – working with our advice teams to collect and enter data

Citizens Advice information and advice roles – our Citizens Advice Islington service deliver advice over the phone and in person and have a range of information and advice roles.

We hold recruitment interviews in October, January and April in each year but you are welcome to apply at any time and we will advise you about the next available volunteer recruitment interview slot
