RCJ Advice has successfully been re-awarded a series of quality marks and standards, part of the organisation’s approach to ensuring they are able to provide high quality services to their clients, as well as keeping their information safe and secure. Meeting these standards is no easy task, particularly for small to medium sized charities like RCJ Advice so it’s a real achievement. Here’s what they’ve been awarded in 2025: –
Lexcel – they were successfully awarded the Lexcel Practise Management Standard for their legal advice services, the quality standard awarded by the Law Society for client care, compliance and practice management. This is needed to offer specialist and legal advice, and to hold Legal Aid contracts.
Advice Quality Standard – they were awarded the Advice Quality Standard for their general advice services, and for casework in Welfare Benefits. This is awarded by Advice Services Alliance.
Cyber Essentials Plus – this is a government-backed certification scheme that helps keep organisations and clients’ data safe from cyber attacks. Cyber Essentials is the minimum standard of cyber security. RCJ Advice were awarded Cyber Essentials Plus which involves more rigorous and independent testing of their IT security.
They are also registered with the Immigration Advice Authority for their immigration advice work to staff and volunteers working in local Citizens Advices across England & Wales, as well as holding memberships of both the national Citizens Advice service, and the national Law Centres Network.
