Citizens Advice Islington has its own dedicated team of paid staff and volunteers and currently all our services are delivered remotely. You can speak to us on the Adviceline below. We also deliver advice a via appointments which are booked by our partners, Help on Your Doorstep and Islington Council.

All our advice is free, confidential, independent, and available to all Islington residents through phone appointments booked through Adviceline. We can also deliver your appointment via Zoom if you request.

If you are an Islington resident please call our Adviceline on 0808 278 7836 in the first instance. Calls are free of charge.

Lines are open from Monday – Friday 10am to 4pm.

Our trained volunteers and specialist caseworkers can advise you on a wide range of issues, such as:

  • Benefits checks, applications and appeals

  • Debt problems, debt relief orders and bankruptcy applications - the best way to contact our debt team is via the email debt@rcjadvice.org.uk

  • Housing problems, including tenancy issues and repairs

  • Employment problems, such as redundancy, unfair dismissal and discrimination

  • Utilities problems – issues with suppliers of gas, electric and water

  • Consumer problems, for example, faulty goods and complaints.
